About

Our Story: Over a Century of Trusted Service

Founded in 1890 in Orange, New Jersey by the Blauvelt Family , Lincoln Moving and Storage began its journey using horse and buggy as its original mode of transportation. Over the next four decades, Lincoln steadily grew, transitioning from horse-drawn carriages to a fleet of trucks, all while delivering exceptional moving and storage services to the local community.

In 1930, Lincoln expanded its reach by joining Mayflower Van Lines, becoming one of the original members of what is now one of the most respected van lines in the country. This move marked Lincoln’s transition from intrastate-only services to both intrastate and interstate moving capabilities.

As the company passed from one generation to the next, Lincoln continued to evolve—introducing a commercial moving division to complement its already strong residential services. In 2008, Lincoln was acquired by the Liberty Group, joining a family of companies known for excellence in the moving and storage industry. Today, Lincoln Moving and Storage proudly continues its legacy of reliability, professionalism, and customer care.
